This section contains a description of the status indicators used in the Report Card and their data sources. These indicators measure women's access to health care services, the degree to which they receive preventive health care and engage in health-promoting activities, the occurrence of key women's health conditions, and the extent to which the communities in which women live enhance their health and well-being. The indicators are addressed in the order in which they appear on the national and state report cards.
